A big hall for exciting concerts, shows and sport events

Arena Armeec Hall is a place in Sofia where major cultural, sports and music events occur. It has a capacity of 12000 to 15000 people. The hall has a good accessibility – there are more than 880 parking lots and more than 40 of them are for disabled people.

 

Arena Armeec is suitable for practicing many sports – boxing, tennis, basketball, wrestling, volleyball, handball, gymnastics and the hall has housed many sports competitions. The Aerobic Gymnastics World Championships in 2012; The FIVB World League Final Round in 2012; the European Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships in 2014 and others took place here. The European qualification for the 2012 Men’s Olympic Volleyball Tournament; the World qualification for the 2012 Men’s Olympic Volleyball Tournament and the WTA Tournament of Champions in 2012, 2013 and 2014 were especially exciting for the Bulgarian audience because of the participation of the Bulgarian men’s volleyball team and the best Bulgarian female tennis player –Tsvetana Pironkova. The whole nation was supporting them and it was a real emotion watching them playing in the hall.

 

Arena Armeec is a great place for great concerts and some of the coolest music events in the last few years happened here. The first big concert here was the one of Jean Michel Jarre in October 2011. Then, Arena Armeec welcomed Tom Jones in November 2011, Julio Iglesias in June 2012, Lady Gaga in August 2012, Red Hot Chili Peppers in September 2012, Jennifer Lopez in November 2012, Armin van Buuren in 2013 and 2014, Snoop Dogg in July 2013, Ennio Morricone in December 2013, the Scorpions in December 2013 and many others.
