The Neuweier Castle was built in the 12th century and it is located on the outskirts of Baden-Baden, at the foot of the mountain wall. Neuweier is amongst the most famous wine growing regions in Baden-Baden. The Weingut Schloss Neuweier today has covered an area of 14 hectors. The annual production of Riesling and Point Noir from the area is about 80,000 bottles per hector (84% Riesling and 12% Pinot Noir). The building is still one of the few remaining lowland castles in Baden. There is a fine quality restaurant in the Castle Neuweier that is serving tourists since 2007.
