The Font màgica de Montjuïc (Catalán for “Magic Fountain of Mantjuïc) is the best way to end a day of sightseeing around one of Spain’s most famous cities: Barcelona.
As the name states, it is a fountain, but at night, it becomes much more: it lights up and creates motion with water acrobatics while displaying different colours while music plays in the background, delighting your senses. The exact location of the fountain is below the Palau Nacional, near Plaza de España (Plaça d’Espanya).
The designer of the Magic Fountain was Carles Buigas and its first ever performances took place in May 19, 1929.
