Freudenstadt is a town located in Baden-Württemberg in the middle of the northern part of TheBlack Forest that is famous for its fresh air and for homing the largest market place in Germany.
The Gothic/Renaissance Evangelical Lutheran Church and The Rathaus (the Town Hall) are both located in the market place. The Friedrichsturm (Frederick’s Tower), which is 25 meters high, was built out of red stones from The Black Forest in 1899 offers a clear view of the village and the valley around it.
Freudenstadt is one of the most popular vacation spots for Germans and is slowly becoming a popular destination for foreigners as well. Some famous people who have visited Freudenstadt are George V from the United Kingdom, the Queen of Sweden, and John D. Rockefeller.
