Cana: The first public miracle that was attributed to Yeshua according to the Gospel of John 2:1-11 was at the Marriage at Cana. In the Gospel, Yeshua, his mother Mary and his disciples were invited to a wedding, and when the wine ran out, Yeshua was requested by his mother to use his powers by turning water into wine.
Two beautiful churches, one Franciscan (built on a former synagogue) and one Greek Orthodox were built in the village of Kanna just north of Nazareth to commemorate the wedding at Cana. The place has become a pilgrimage site believed by many Christians to be the site of the biblical marriage.
