Karadjordjevo is part of the municipalities of Backa Palanka and Bac. Based on the environmental evaluation is placed under protection as a special nature reserve – the reserve for maintenance of genetic diversity high game, in the category of great importance (second category). It all started with breeding horses, back in 1885, when the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy began the formation of the stud farm, in this region, because of its favorable geographical location, proximity to the Danube River and land which is extremely convenient for the proper formation of hooves in the offspring. It is reported that even in 1948 there was organized a diplomatic hunting. Karadjordjevo was of the residences of Yougoslav president Tito where he met important politicians like Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev.
