Memorial Church of Saint Demetrius is the church with charnel-house in Lazarevac, built in honor to the fallen soldiers of the Serbian and Austro-Hungarian army in the Battle of Kolubara. In the architecture and urbanism ambience of Lazarevac is significant for its religious and social function and this temple has high silhouette values. Notable is the realization of the inter-war Serbian church architecture, but also the work of the Russians builder who immigrated to Serbia because of the civil war in their homeland. Memorial Church of Saint Demetrius was built by the project of Russian immigrant architect Ivan A. Rik, between 1938 and 1941. It has a basis in the form of an inscribed cross developed type. At the intersection of the arms rises main dome, while over the arms of the cross rise four smaller domes. One dome rises up and over the western face and there is placed bell tower.
