Moray is an Inca archaeological site and former irrigation system consisting of circular depressions. It is located 50 kilometers away from the city of Cuzco and close to the village of Maras, famous for its Salineras de Maras. Today, it remains a mystery what exactly was the purpose of Moray and its unusual structure but many hypothesize it was used to study the effects of different climatic conditions on crops due to the fact that the location, the wind and depth of the ruins create different temperatures.
From Cuzco, take a bus to Urubamba. From Urubamba, you can take a bus to Moray for only one sol. From Moray, you will need to take a colectivo taxi for 10 soles per person.
