Bjelolasica is the highest mountain in the region of Gorski Kotar. It is located within the Velika Kapela hills in Croatia, and it contains the highest peak: Kula (1534 meters), and mountain Klek (1.182 meters), as well as many other nature resorts, such as Bijele stijene and Samarske stijene.
The mountain got its name because of a narrow bright ridge which highlights above the forest belt especially when under snow. It is 7 kilometers long, very steep and it is rich in spacious thick forests and vast meadows. The forest paths and roads connect all that in a unique kaleidoscope of forests and hills, providing an unforgettable experience to all the visitors who enjoy spending time in nature, hiking, biking, etc. The mountain is also a skiing paradise.
If you are unsure of which mountain to visit, you will not be sorry if you spend some time on this lovely mountain, and absorb all the lovely things it offers.
