Museum of Vojvodina in Novi Sad is the largest museum in the Vojvodina Region. It is founded in 1847 and has a very valuable collection of various pieces of art. The Museum’s collections of archeology, history, art history and ethnology artifacts includes almost 500,000 original objects.
Objects from the prehistoric period (tools, jewelry, figurine of goddesses, vessels, etc.), Roman times, medieval period and modern times can be found. The most famous museum pieces are three late Roman parade helmets from the 4th century, which are unique specimens of its kind in Europe and for the decades stands out as a trademark of the Museum.
