Halfway through Oxford Street is Oxford Circus, which joins Oxford Street and Regents Street.
Now onto some historic facts:
During the 18th century, the street started getting developed and it was a common place for entertainers, masquerades, especially, were very popular during that time. It wasn’t until the 19th century that the area became known as a shopping place.
The street suffered several bombings during WWII in the night of September 17th, 1940.
