Palic ZOO is located in the center of town Palic, near the promenade and Lake Palic.
The Zoo is also a botanical garden. It was founded in 1949 and covers the area over 10 hectares.
The basic functions of the Zoo are: zoological, botanical, educational and nature protection. The park is growing more than 270 species of trees and shrubs and many of them are rare and exotic species, such as the Lebanese cedar and giant, redwood or larch.
Among domestic species the most prominent is the century old oaks.
The area of the park is enriched with numerous kinds of flowers, ponds and fountains.
Visitors can see over 65 species: many birds, several species of monkeys, large mammals, but also exotic animals such as snakes and tarantulas.
More than 160,000 people visit Palic ZOO annually.
