A lake in Australia distinguished by its pink-coloured waters

The Pink Lake is located in Western Australia, famous for its pink-looking waters that are the result of the alga in the water, the high salinity level, the high temperature and adequate light conditions that accumulate red pigment. Of course, as many factors contribute to the water’s color, it not always looks pink.

Aside from being famous for its unusual color, the lake is also an important bird area as important species reside around it, such as hooded plovers and baded stilts.
