Podgaric is a village located in a hilly area on the slopes Moslavacka Hills. Large areas are occupied by the state forest of beech and sessile oak. In the woods, there is a large variety of wildlife: deer, wild boar, mouflon, fallow deer, roe deer, etc. The forests are rich with mushrooms such as porcini, chanterelles. In the immediate vicinity there are several medieval fortresses: Garic Castle, Kosuta grad, Jelen grad, Brsljanovac, Gradina and Maric city. Particularly interesting is Garic Castle, first mentioned in 1163 as the parish seat. In Podgaric is big WW2 monument from 1967.
