The southernmost point of the Riviera Maya

There are a few mini markets scattered around the village as well as some local restaurants on the beach.
There is barely any electricity there and it only works between 11 am and 2 pm and 7pm - midnight.

Marking the southernmost point of the Riviera Maya is Punta Allen, a fishing village in the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, 50 kilometers away from the city of Tulum. Punta Allen is located in a thin strip of land surrounded by the ocean and for that reason, the village is extremely small, with only seven streets measuring its width.

Punta Allen is the perfect place for birdwatchers, with pelicans, spoonbills, mocking birds and many other species flocking by. There are also many dolphins and crocodiles in the water. It is considered ideal to relax, practice water sports, and enjoy unspoiled nature.
