The Romanian Orthodox Church of Saint George in Uzdin in the municipality of Kovacica, was built in 1801, and it’s under the state protection as a cultural monument of great importance. The church is dedicated to St. George and is one of the largest and most luxurious houses of the Romanian Orthodox Church in Vojvodina Region, in the spirit of Baroque from early 19th century. It was built as a single nave structure with elongated rectangular base with a semicircular apse at the east and the bell tower on the west side, decorated with a classicist and architectural moldings on the facades. The temple was partly destroyed in a fire in 1850, when burned tower and wooden roof structure, and in 1883 was restored the tower, and a year later the entire roof of the temple.
