Schiltach is a town located in the Kinzig Valley in The Black Forest. It is a state-recognized health resort with approximately 4,000 inhabitants.
This town was first mentioned bt Vicarage in 1275. Since the middle Ages, it has remained unchanged. Despite its historical roots, Schiltach is a modern city with large global commercial operations (eg Hansgrohe AG, VEGA Grieshaber KG and BBS International).
There are a number of attraction in this town like the marketplace with numerous half-timbered houses, the Museum on the market, The Tanners’ Quarter and a Protestant church built around the year 1840.
