The Schluchsee is a reservoir lake in the southeast of the Titisee in The Black Forest. Schluchsee is the largest lake in The Black Forest and the highest in Germany at 930 meters above sea level.
The lake provides many possibilities for water sports. Each year, thousands of people come to Schuchsee for wind surfing, sailing, angling, swimming, rowing and sightseeing boat tours. The water stays quite cool even during summer because of its high elevation.
Aside from the lake, there are many other beautiful locations in the area of Schluchsee that attract bikers, cyclists and mountain bikers. For winter sports enthusiast, it offers skiing tracks, ice skating and a children’s ski-lift.
