The Torre dei Lamberti is a tower located in Piazza delle Erbe in the city of Verona. The tower stands at a height of 84 meters and its construction was begun in the year 1172. The two bells in the tower were placed there for a purpose: Rengo, to call the population to arms and Marangona, to signal fires, work times and hours. A clock is also displayed, however, it wasn’t added until the year 1779. You can climb up the tower or alternatively, take a lift to the top!
