The London Eye is Europe’s tallest ferris wheel and provides the best views 360 degree views of London. The way the London Eye works is that you step into one of the 32 glass capsules and gradually move making it a 30 minute ride. 2. Watch the Changing of the Guards ceremony at Buckingham Palace:

If you are already in the royal city of London, you must watch a changing of the guards ceremony. The one at Buckingham Palace takes place daily at 11:30 AM during the summer and every other day for the rest of the year. The ceremony itself is about 45 minutes, but you should definitely go early to get a good spot with a view as the ceremony attracts immense crowds of tourists. The best spots to watch the ceremony are next to the railings of Buckingham Palace, the steps of the Victoria Monument, and Spur Road.

Although not served in actual newspapers anymore, do not be surprised to find your fish and chips served in a “newspaper” wrapper. Harrods’ Toy Kingdom is a wonderland for kids. It offers everything a kid can imagine from alien space pods, to fairies, to helicopters, and even a candy store. The best part is that you don’t actually have to pay to play there. The staff add to the excitement by performing routine dances in the store and having candy making demonstrations. Key word: dinosaurs. If your kids like dinosaurs then they will love this museum. London’s Natural History Museum is unlike any other museum with dinosaur displays. This museum allows you to walk by some of these skeletons eye-level with epic lighting and roaring sound effects. It may sound scary, but don’t forget that this museum after all was made with the intention of having young visitors. Besides dinosaurs, the museum has other exhibits featuring things such as insects. In addition to free admission, your kids can borrow an explorer backpack with items such as binoculars, an explorers hat, and drawing materials, for free during your visit.
