10 Must-Things To Do In Kuala Lumpur At Night

Kuala Lumpur looks different during day and night time. Illuminated with many colors, it invites tourists for an enjoyable strolling, singing in karaoke or riding bikes overnight. Choose what you prefer, and go for your unforgettable journey around the Malaysian capital.

1. Take a Photo With The Petronas Twin Towers

Twin Towers is a real symbol of Kuala Lumpur. In the evening hours, they look impressive. No wonder, 99% of the tourists tend to take photos from the park overlooking the Petronas Towers.  Numerous tourists come here to capture the majestic buildings against the background of the night sky.

The Twin Tower is the heart of the city. You can go up to the 86th floor or sit in a local cafe until late evening. Local residents also come here, but they express their emotions, not like tourists. However, taking photos in front of the towers became a tradition.

2. Visit Menara Tower

Even though Menara TV Tower is not as high as Petronas Twin Towers, it represents the highest point of the city thanks to its allocation on a hill.

Traveling through the night city, you can go to the TV tower Menara Kuala Lumpur. It is located very close to the Petronas Twin Towers, and is visible, practically, from anywhere in the city center. By height, it ranks seventh in the world, and it is especially beautiful at night.

Keep in mind, there is an amazing park nearby if you are around in the daytime.

3. Try Local Food on the Night Market at Petaling Street

Like any Asian city, Kuala Lumpur has its own Chinatown. It is one of the most colorful and popular places for hanging out in the evening. In the daytime, there is nothing to do here, but with darkness, Petaling Street turns into a big trading platform where you can buy anything: souvenirs, clothes, bags, children’s toys, counterfeit disks, watches, jewelry.

There are a lot of unusual traditional dishes around the Chinatown. Taste as many as you can.

4. Sing in Karaoke

Even though there are plenty of places to sing karaoke in Kuala Lumpur, Club De Vegas is probably the most famous one. It’s a Chinese bistro with many karaoke rooms. The club is also known for its “social escorts” – young girls who accompany bored men in the club, during the feast.

The other place – Club De Macau is a huge club with two floors and karaoke rooms that can accommodate up to 30 people. Extremely popular with Chinese crowds, where customers can sing as Japanese, Korean and English singers.

5. Listen to Live Music

Constantly filled, Hard Rock Café attracts tourists and local residents. Pretty often you can listen to concerts of international performers there. On other days, you can experience pleasant rhythms of blues and flavored American food.

6. Party Hard in a Night Club

T Club & Bistro in Telawi is another fantastic place where you can hang out all night. The evening atmosphere is filled with pleasant slow music, which is not too noisy. But by 11 p.m., everything begins to shake. This is one of the most popular nightclubs for young Malaysian people.

Walk in any direction. Most attractions are within walking distance of the city center. Of course, if you are not in a hurry. The best is to keep the direction towards the Petronas Twin Towers, which are the centerpiece of Kuala Lumpur.

The central part of Kuala Lumpur is illuminated, but it is not intrusive. It just adds color to the stone jungle, so the city looks like a diamond.

8. Visit SPA

After a busy day, you can go to one of the many spa salons, that will remind you of the neighbor location Thailand. Famous Thai massage is widely practiced here. It is especially pleasant after a long walk. Foot massage and a small rest in a cozy salon will allow you to refill your energy and strength to continue your journey through the streets at night.

9. Ride a Bike

The traffic changes together with darkness. You should pay more attention at nighttime, as that is the peak hour for bikes. It seems that there are no rules for them on the road.

If you want to feel the adrenaline, you should rent a bike and go exploring the capital at night. It’s not completely safe, but a fantastic experience.

10. Watch Football in a Pub

Backyard Pub & Grill is the oldest pub in the central Kuala Lumpur. Most evenings are dedicated to European football. During the important matches, football is visible everywhere around the pub – on numerous screens and the walls.

Except for football matches you can enjoy good steaks, classic melodies, and rhythms of modern rock. Just enjoy!
