The Tatras region contains so many traditional restaurants that it makes it hard to chose from. Although all of the food is delicious there is one thing that needs to be at the top of your list. Bryndzové Halušky is translated as sheep cheese gnocchi and it is amazing. It is typically served with bacon and chives on top. Do not get discouraged if it sounds gross to you, because it is the opposite! Now that you’ve gotten your meal, you need a drink. There is no better drink to wash down that meal than Kofola. Although it is originally a Czech drink, it is a very popular drink in Slovakia. We went to several different restaurants and loved them all! Whatever traditional food or drink you are to try, I guarantee that you will love it!
