Aquarium Piran is a landmark museum in Piran. Even though it is a small museum, it can offer a plenty of fun, especially for kids and youngsters. The museum displays an underwater habitat.

 

In Aquarium Piran you can learn and enjoy watching domestic water species and organisms such as fishes, crustaceans, starfish and turtles combined with the variety of underwater flora. Most of the displayed species has been found in Slovenian sea. There you can find plenty of educational material and at the same time a lot of merchandise connected to the Piran, Slovenian water life and aquarium itself. The downside of the museum it is somehow very small and can the tour can be finished quite fast.

 

Aquarium Piran is dedicated to sea life and sea creatures, mainly from Slovenian sea. It is one of the smallest aquariums compared to other countries, but it is here for more than 40 years and it is well known is Slovenia. Currently, 14 small pools and 5 unique pools can be seen to visitors.
