Held every summer since 2007 on the banks of Lake Balaton in the small town of Zamárdi in Hungary, the Balaton Sound is one of the most popular open-air festivals in Europe. Its main theme is electronic music and it includes lakeside lounges, restaurants, bars, several stages, hammocks, bean bags, and more. During July, the shored of Lake Balaton change from a peaceful area to a massive party arena.


The festival attracts over 100,000 attendees yearly and most tickets are booked out during the first days of release, so make sure to book in advance!


The Balaton Sound has won several awards, including “Best Medium-Sized European Festival” in the European Festival Awards.
