The Biodôme of Montreal, located near the Olympic Stadium, is a fun and interesting indoor zoo – a must-see in Montreal, especially for children.


The visit of the Biodôme consists of an easy walk through four different ecosystems. The walk starts with the warm and humid temperature of the Tropical Forest, followed by the marine life of the Laurentian Maple Forest and the colder temperature of the Labrador Coast then the Gulf of St. Lawrence with birds and aquariums and the visit ends with the cold Subpolar regions with penguins.


There are over 4500 live animals of different species and 500 species of plant in the Biodôme of Montreal.

Opening hours

From January 1st to June 17th: open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 - 17:00.
From June 18th to September 5th: open everyday from 9:00 - 18:00.
From September 6th to December 31rst: open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 - 17:00.
