From Chain Bridge to Castle Hill

Nearby there is the Castle Hill Funicular, in Hungarian “Budavári Sikló” is the most popular way to get to the Castle District in Budapest. It is  a funicular railway that connects Castle District to the Clark Adam Square, and also links the Chain Bridge, which connects Buda to Pest.

 

The Budapest Castle Hill  Funicular was opened in the year 1870 but was destroyed ruing the Second World War. It wasn’t reopened until the year 1986. Each car can carry 24 passengers and each trip time takes one and a half hours.
