Chipehua is a small beach in the state of Oaxaca in southern Mexico perfect for those looking for a relaxing place away from tourist hubs. The beach is located in Islmo e Tehuantepec, 293 kilometers away from the city of Oaxaca and 140 from the more popular beach, Huatulco.
With a lovely bay, golden sand dunes and ever-lasting coral reefs, Chipehua is the ideal place to head to for those who love to spend a quiet, relaxing time in the middle of nowhere. Tourism is not so common here, so there are not many activities available for visitors. However, you can engage in horseback riding along the coast or surf here, as the waves are perfect to do so. There are also a few cabins available for those wishing to stay overnight.
Also here is an archaeological site called El Polvorín, an ancient Zapotec city for those who would like to learn and feel some history.
