Cover your head with a scarf and take off your shoes before going in

Also named as the Dambulla Cave Temple, it is the largest cave temple in Sri Lanka and is considered an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The cave is divided into five sections, which contain statues and paintings dedicated to Buddha, Sri Lankan kings and various gods and goddesses (including Hindy, Vishnu and Ganesh).

The caves were also the home of Prehistoric civilizations dating back to 700 B.C.
