A small and beautiful town on the foothills of The Black Forest

Emmendingen, Black Forest, Baden-Württemberg, Germany

Emmendingen is the capital of the Emmendingen District located on the Elz River, right on the foothills of The Black Forest.


This town offers many interesting sights, such as its historical half-timbered houses and a medieval castle, which attracts thousands of tourists from around the world to this patch of land in Germany.


Other points of interest in Emmendingen include the Cornelia Schlosser (A house where Cornelia Friederica Christiana Goethe and her husband lived). Thee house is now been converted to a city library and the Jewish Museum on the castle Square.
