Heviz Lake is the largest natural thermal lake in the world. Located in Heviz (at the northern shore of Lake Balaton) the lake’s waters are said to contain healing powers. The region around the lake has been populated since the 4th century before christ and ever since, the lake has been used as a spa.

The water in the lake is composed of micro organisms and minerals such as carbonate, sulphur, calcium, magnesium and hydrogen carbonate that make the it have healing properties and it is said that it is able to cure diseases such as osteoporosis, joint diseases, inflammation diseases, rheuma, and more.

Heviz, the town where the spa is surrounded by lush hills, creating a gorgeous atmosphere for you to relax in. Aside from that, the lake is full of water lilies that not only add up to the location’s beauty, but are used to slow down evaporation. The springs diffuse into a cave before entering the lake.
