A village famous for its ski jumping

Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, Baden-Württemberg, Germany

Hinterzarten is a beautiful village in the Black Forest, located southwest to Baden-Wurttemberg. The village has many touristic attractions; however, it is primarily famous because of its ski jumping.


In 1923, the first ski jump was built by the name of Kirchwaldschanze however, the jumping discontinued in 1974. In 1924, Adlerschanze Jump was built and is still in service.


Hinterzarten also has tennis center, ski lift, soccer club and cross country skiing center. It is also a member of Nordic Walking Club.
