Hôtel de Glace is the only ice hotel in North America. Situated 5 kilometers north of Quebec City and was opened in New Year’s Day in 2001, although in a different location. The hotel has a three month lifespan and is rebuilt every December to be opened in January every next year. The hotel is equipped with 51 double beds made out of ice, a solid wood base and mattresses and the rest of the furniture is made of ice.

 

The hotel is opened to visitors and it has become one of the main attractions of Quebec City. Tours are available in different languages. You can check out the different options in the hotel’s official website.
