Built by the Ottoman Turks in the 16th century, Kiraly Bath (“King Bath”) is the oldest thermal bath in Budapest along with Rudas Bath and its historical heritage can be seen as soon as you enter the place even though it was damaged during the second World War and mostly reconstructed in the 20th century. The waters contain calcium, magnesium, hydrogen-carbonate and sulphate and fluoride ions which cure degenerative joint diseases, chronic and sub-acute arthritis, discus hernia, spinal deformity and more.
The construction was begun by Arslan, the pasha of Buda, in 1565 and its completion was made by Sokoli Mustafa, his successor.
