Krka National Park is known for its many lakes and waterfalls. It was named after the river Krka which is a part of National Park. It is located in central Dalmatia, and only a few kilometers northeast of the city of Sibenik. It covers an area along the river Krka, which rises at the foot of the Dinara mountain near Knin, and flows into the Bay of Sibenik. It stretches over 142 square kilometers, of which 25.6 square kilometers makes water surface. Krka river now has seven waterfalls and its beauty is a natural phenomenon. It is recommended to visit the National Park in spring and summer as it is in all its glory, and you can also refresh by taking a swim in clean water.
Krka National Park is one of eight Croatian National Parks. It is not easy to decide whether the Park is more beautiful during summer time or winter time. Never the less, the Park offers its visitors nice walks through the forest surrounded by waterfalls and cliffs. When visiting Krka National Park, make sure to pack a bathing suit because you will be able to enjoy a fresh bath under the biggest waterfall in the area. When you get tired, only a few meters away a restaurant is located and serves grilled food, sandwiches and cool beverages among other things. Nature there is at its best, and it will be inevitable not to fall in love with Krka.
