Lim Channel (Limski kanal) is a bay on the western coast of Istria between cities of Vrsar and Rovinj. It originated as an estuary (flooded river mouth) of River Pazincica which now plunges into Pazin Cave near Pazin and In the past was poured into the sea in the Lim Channel. Sea has entered and today is bay. Sometimes Lim Channel is known as the fjord but the fjord is a bay which is developed by glaciers, and this one isn’t. Lim Channel is significantly mussel farm. The name comes from the Latin word limit = border (it was in the Roman period a border of provinces of Italy and Dalmatia).

Highway Zagreb- Rijeka, exit Rijeka and continue by road to Pazin-Vrsar
