The Merkur Mountain offers fascinating views and unique trails for hiking and walking. The traditional MerkurBergbahn, an attraction and a popular destination in Baden-Baden is Germany’s longest funicular. The safe and friendly environment attracts 130,000 to 160,000 walkers, hikers, walkers and nature lovers every year.


An elevator in the tower will carry you to a 23-meter high viewing platform from where you can enjoy a unique view over Baden-Baden, the Murg Valley, the Rhine plain and the Vosges. Further facilities on the “Mercury summit” include a barbecue area, a sunbathing area, and a playground with a giant slide.


Another exciting activity on the Merkur Mountain is paragliding, which gives the tourists an opportunity to enjoy the views from a bird’s perspective.
