Muenstertal is a municipality that is a part of the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald and it is located in the southern part of The Black Forest. It is situated in the foot of Ballon, one of the most scenic mountains in the Black Forest.


Muenstertal is a state-recognized health resort and people visit this place to find healing. You can go hiking and explore the natural beauty and interesting landmarks such as the Silver Mine (Teufelsgrund), the baroque Monastery of St. Trudpert, and the Schwarzwaldhaus Museum, where the documentary movie Schwarzwaldhaus was filmed.
