Bakar is a city and port in Croatia, located in the Bay of Bakar. It lies on the northern coast of the Adriatic Sea. It has several attractions. Roman house is a Renaissance building with a loggia decorated with arches on the first and second floor, and the crest on the front. This is a former convent, built in the early 18th century century. General, local museum keeps archaeological collections, archives of cultural-historical material (Glagolitic inscriptions), navigational instruments and other historically valuable objects. The parish church of St. Andrew the Apostle is the biggest and the oldest church in Bakar. The most likely dates back to the 12th century. In 1850 has been renovated and is the third largest late Baroque church in Croatia.
