Podsreda Castle is located on a hill overlooking Podsreda Village in the Kozjansko region. The castle was built in the 12th century and originally known as Castrum Herberch, but was ruined after the second world war. The castle has gone through an extensive refurbishment in 1983 and is now known as Podsreda Castle. The castle has been remarkably well maintained ever since.

The castle features traditional Romanesque Architecture. It was built with great detail and medieval craftsmanship. The castle also has two towers with one used for defense and another to house its chapel.

Any visitors staying in the Kozjanska Region should definitely stop by the castle. It is open to visitors during the summer months and is a popular venue for private functions such as weddings. In addition to magnificent paintings displayed throughout the castle, there are also beautiful glassware pieces exhibited in ground-level and basement rooms.
