The history of the place dates back to the year 1835 when it was built to serve as a house for Prince Ram Singh II’s wet nurse. In the year 1887, Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh got it converted to a hunting lodge meant for the royal family of Jaipur. It was during the reign of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II in 1931 that the building got converted into the royal residence.
