A group of five Gothic tombs in Verona

Arche scaligere (Scaliger Tombs) are made up by a total of five tombs of the Scaliger family, who ruled the city of Verona for over a century (13th to almost 15th). The tombs, built in a Gothic style, are located in Verona, a city in the north of Italy, in the court of a church known as Santa Maria Antica.


Some of the members found in the tomb are: Cangrande I, the most famous ruler of the city; Cansignorio, whose tomb is the most lavishly decorated; Mastino II, Cansignorio and more.
