The Klausenhof Open Air Museum is famous for being one of the oldest houses in the Black Forest. The house is located in the southern Black Forest and just 20 kilometers north of Bad-Sackingen in Herrischried. It was built in the year 1424 and was in danger of collapsing because it was left unattended for a long period of time. But due to the amount of history within its walls, it was saved and turned into an open air museum.
The bygone lifestyle in the Black Forest can be viewed along with a bakery, a village smithy, a wagon house and more.
