The store will be crowded but it is absolutely worth the trip!

New York City has plenty of shopping available but for groceries there is no better place than Zabars. The top floor is all kitchenware and gadgetry for those who love to browse that type of thing. If you need a new spatula or frying pan, a set of knives or a bread maker Zabars is the place for you! Thousands of super fun kitchen gadgets and gizmos make up the second floor and if you walk up those stairs you had better have at least an hour of time available to explore all the wonderful kitchen toys they have for sale!


The entire bottom floor is a Jewish market that is unrivaled anywhere else in the city. You’ll never find better lox and bagels or a wider variety of cream cheese, and for those with a sweet tooth they carry an amazing selection of rugelach, babka, and other baked goods. A coffee selection that is almost never ending and dozens upon dozens of kinds of cheese, olives, fish and prepared foods that make for an excellent picnic are just a few of the amazing things they have at this wonderful store. Stop in an pick up a few prepared items and make the short walk to Central Park for an amazing picnic experience!
