The zero kilometer reference point in Hungary

The Zero Kilometer stone is a limestone sculpture in the form of a zero with a height of 3 meters. This stone is the work of Miklos Borsos and it marks the exact place where all roads in Hungary are measured from, hence the name. The stone is located in Clark Adam Square, on the Buda side of the famous landmark that is Chain Bridge. However, up until 1849, the reference point mentioned before was placed in the Buda Royal Palace before it was moved to its present location.

Right next to the stone is the Castle Hill Funicular to Buda Castle.
