Ljubljana is the capital of Slovenia and also the biggest city in the country. It’s located in the very heart of the country. As befits for the capital, it offers a very diverse range of attractions and entertainment options. Most of the actions are, of course, in the city centre.
Šmarna Gora (The mountain Šmarna) is located in the northern part of the city. With a height of 676 m and due to the location and the view, it became a very popular destination.
Then take a half hour walk through Tivoli Park, which will lead you directly to city centre. It’s about 20 min walk.
When you arrive in city centre first you will see the Prešeren Square.
And from then you can decide which of the following attractions to visit first.
Very close to the city centre is also ZOO Ljubljana. If you decide to visit it on foot from the centre it will take you about 30-45 min walk. From the centre, there is also direct bus line nr. 14.
The great thing about Ljubljana is that despite the fact that it’s the biggest city in the country, all attractions can be accessed very quickly, easily and with very low effort.
Enjoy the tour 🙂
One day10EasyAverageThe easiest way to visit all top attractions is on foot or by bus.
Great home restaurant is on the top of Šmarna Gora. In Union restaurant you will have the chance to experience the "open kitchen" with great dishes. And of course in the city centre there are plenty of good restaurants.
