Tripedia Travel Writing Contest Terms
Are you interested in travel writing? This is your chance to get published in Tripedia and win a sum of $200 if your article gets selected. You do not need to be a pro to participate, all you need to do is have a passion for a certain place – be it your hometown, home country or a place you’ve lived in or travelled in and absolute loved!

Writing
Please send us anything travel related – your favorite attractions or hidden gems in your country or anything else that comes to your mind.
Requirements:
- Must be interesting to read
- The minimum length is three paragraphs and there is no maximum.
- A photograph is not required, but if you do happen to have any photos of the place taken by yourself, feel free to include them!
- Original content. Any content which has been published before anywhere will not be considered for the contest
Submitting
- Please e-mail your entry to contest@tripedia.info with your written piece attached (see below for further information on accepted formats) and include the following information:
– Name(s):
– Last Name:
– Website/blog (optional). - Your entry must be submitted in a word document (Google Drive is also accepted) or a PDF document. Entries simply written on the e-mail will not be accepted into the contest.
- You can submit as many entries as you wish.
Visuals
As mentioned early, photographs are not a must but always appreciated. If you do happen to submit one or even a few, the only rules are that:
- They were taken by yourself
- They are at least 800×600 pixels large
- There are no people in them
- .jpeg, .jpg, or .png format only. Kindly send the photos as separate attachments and not as a part of a .doc or .pdf document.
Winning
The articles submitted will be reviewed by our editors and the winner will be announced on August 30th.
For the transfer of the monetary award, we’ll need you to create a Paypal account if you don’t already have one.
Others
Please note that by submitting your article, you give Tripedia permission to keep and use it even if it doesn’t result as the winner.
