1. Rock Hospital
This hospital is actually built in the nuclear bunker in Budapest, Hungary that is close to the Buda Castle. The place was created around the 1930s as a preparation for the World War II. This hospital was connected with the tunnel system of the city, which made the place really valuable and important during the years of the World War II. Locals say that this hospital was the most important place during the Siege of Budapest in 1944. Currently, the place operates like a museum and it will be great to visit it if you are a fan of historical landmarks. I personally enjoy history and this one of my favorite places in Budapest. There are plenty of people who had visited the city but never went to the Hospital in the Rock.
2. Vajdahunyad Castle
The Vajdahunyad Castle in Budapest is one of the most amazing castles that I have seen in Central Europe. It is located close to the downtown of the capital of Hungary and it was built in 1896. Probably the most interesting thing about the design of the place is the fact that the architecture of the place is a mix of several styles. You can find marks of the Romanesque style, the Gothic style, the Baroque style and some signs of Renaissance. The place has a mighty feeling and you can see some amazing statues around the castle.
3. Chocolate Museum
Do you love chocolate? If the answer to this questions is yes then you must visit this place. It is fairly unknown, especially for the international tourists but definitely deserves attention. In this museum, you can check out some great chocolate sweets. I guarantee you that you will really like the experience. The admission fee of the museum is not really high. You can enter the museum for only 20 Euros, which for most of the international tourists is affordable.
4. Anonymus Szobor
The Anonymous Statue is one of the most fascinating and most mysterious statues in Europe. It was created around the 13th century and in my personal opinion, it is the most interesting landmark in Budapest. The statue is also known as Bele Regis Notarius. Go and visit this statue if you want to make some really cool pictures. This is my favorite place in Hungary because it brings a mysterious feeling to the visitors.
5. 3D Gallery
The 3D gallery is the funniest and most amazing place in Budapest. It is a really cool place to visit with your spouse or with your kids. In this gallery, you can find things suitable for everyone regardless of their age. You can create some really nice photos and enjoy the fascinating 3D art. There are plenty of such galleries in the world, but this one in Budapest is really good because it has a huge variety of holograms. 6. Vaci Street
Vaci Street is one of the main streets in the downtown area of Budapest. Most tourists have visited that street but probably were never able to fully appreciate it. I am putting this street on this list mainly because of the restaurants located across the street. I strongly recommend you to eat lunch or dinner in one of these amazing restaurants. I strongly believe that in order to get the full experience of a certain tourist destination, you need to feel like a local. What better place than Vaci Street to accomplish this task?
7. Memento Park
The Memento Park is probably the park with the biggest number of Cold War statue. This place is basically an open-air museum that has statues from the Hungarian Communist years. These years lasted from the end of the World War II to 1989. In the park, you can see statues of leaders like Lenin, Marx and other Hungarian leaders. The park had been created in 1993 and I strongly recommend you to visit this place and enjoy the wonderful sculptures.
8. Janos Hill Viewpoint
Janos Hill is the highest point of the Hungarian capital – Budapest. On top of this hill, you can find the Erzsebet Lookout Tower which offers a spectacular view of Budapest. This tower was originally built in 1910. The tower is not really popular among international tourists, but it surely deserves attention. When the weather is fine you can see as far as around 70km in the distance. Sounds cool, right? Normally the tower is open every day and you must visit the place if you want to feel like you are on top of everything.
9. Calvinist Church
The Calvinist Church in Budapest is a church that is built in Neo-Gothic style. The design of the church is really amazing and according to the locals, the stained glass of the church was prepared by the best local artists during the time of the construction. The church was built in the 19th century in the inner city part of the Hungarian capital.
10. St. Elizabeth Church
The St. Elizabeth church in Budapest is an 18th century Roman Catholic church located on Rozsak square. I can say that this is one of the best Roman Catholic churches that I have seen, especially in the Central European Region. The church is built in French Gothic style and it offers really nice interior and exterior. Fairly popular with the locals and fairly not popular for the international tourists, the St. Elizabeth church is a must when you visit Budapest.
