What you must know before your next adventure

Croatia has a coastline on the Adriatic Sea, including more than a thousand islands, crossed by the Dinaric Alps and dotted with castles. Its capital, Zagreb, is identified by its medieval Gornji Grad (Upper Town) and museums. The coastal city Dubrovnik has 16th-century walls encircling an Old Town with Gothic and Renaissance buildings.

CROATIA

Croatia is a wonderful country full of amazing natural beauties and really kind people. Whatever you love or are interested in, you’ll find it here! The country has an amazing clear blue sea, high and challenging mountains and beautiful green fields. It also has a rich history so if you visit it, you will return home with many new and interesting information. The Croatian cuisine is simply amazing. Croatia is the perfect place to visit if you want to relax or have a great time!

The country consists of 21 counties and the capital city of the country, Zagreb is one of them. The five biggest cities are Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, Osijek, and Zadar and all of these places are really interesting because they all played big parts in the history of the country. Croatia is also a member of the European Union since 2013. The official language is Croatian and the official currency is Kuna, but there is a chance that you’ll run across some salesmen or waiters who will be glad to accept Euros as well.

Croatia has so many things to offer to its visitors, but the most famous locations are Zagreb, the Croatian coastline, and Velebit and here is some interesting information about them:

Zagreb is filled with interesting tourist attractions. We dare to say that this city has some of the most interesting museums in the whole world like The Museum of Broken Relationships, The Museum of Illusions, The Croatian Museum of Naïve Art and much more. It also has many places with their very own legends like the Stone Gate, the abandoned cemetery (Jurjevskogroblje) or the Lotrščak tower. Zagreb has so many stories to tell, it just needs someone who will listen to it.

The Croatian coastline is rich in landmarks and beautiful places you can visit when you’re not swimming in the beautiful and clear sea. Some of the most famous landmarks are the Euphrasian Basilica in Poreč, the Pula Arena and the Fortification of Dubrovnik. The islands are something out of this world, they look like Paradise on Earth. The coastline is also known for its crazy parties, everybody loves them! There’s always something going on there, you will never be bored!

Velebit is the biggest mountain range in Croatia, but the highest peak in the country isn’t on this mountain. Northern Velebit National Park is also located here and thanks to this, the mountain range became a pretty visited location. Its rich vegetation and amazing wildlife give a good enough reason for visiting, honestly. If you want a relaxing hike or walk through nature, this is a perfect place for you! Anyone who visits this place will leave with a lot of amazing experiences and good stories they will be able to tell people when they return home.

Croatia is a really good tourist destination. It is not too big, but it definitely has a lot to offer. It offers beautiful castles and parks, it has developed cyclist trails all over the country, all the mountains have hiking trails and some of them offer mountain climbing as well. Don’t forget to try the local cuisine and make sure to taste some local wine too! If you want to see some amazing scenery and enjoy yourself, visit Croatia! You won’t regret it!
