Vojvodina is the northernmost Serbian region. Situated at the Pannonian Plain, it is noted for its fields and forests. The main language is Serbian, lots of people speak Hungarian too. It is defined as a multi-ethnic and multi-confessional territorial autonomy. It consists of subregions Banat, Backa and Srem. Here was born Roman emperor Decius.
