5. Visit the oldest saltwork in Europe – Ston Saltworks (Stonske solane)
Ston Saltworks are the oldest saltworks in the Europe and the most preserved one in the whole history of a Mediterranean. This saltwork originates from the 14th century and is still in use. The Saltwork is divided into 9 pools; each pool can produce more than 59 tons of salt. In the middle ages, this is the exact way of how salt was produced.
